Tracking produces the delicate twill-like pattern in these napkins. I consider tracking a magical gift from the weaving gods, so I don’t try to discourage it. I like having my fabrics look much more complex than they actually are.

Structure: Plain weave.
Finished Dimensions: Four hemmed napkins, 21" by 21" each.
Yarns: 8/2 unmercerized cotton at 3,360 yd/lb (UKI), 3,050 yd Bleach (White) and 180 yd each of Purple #40, Gold #33, and Red #2.
Notions: White sewing thread for hems.
Warp Ends: 450.
Warp Length: 4 yd (allows for 8" take-up and 27" loom waste).
Setts: EPI: 18. PPI: 18.
Width in the Reed: 25".
Woven Length: 100" (25" per napkin), measured under tension on the loom.
Take up and Shrinkage: 16% in width, 15% in length.
