Lydia's Scarf

This finer, laciertake on Mary's Scarf would have appealed to Lydia Bennet's overly romantic personality. Though perhaps not as suitable for the coldness of winter, it would be an elegant testimony to a lady's needlework skills when thrown over her shoulders at a ball.

Finished Size About 9" wide and 54" long.
Yarn Juniper Moon Farm Findley (50% Merino wool, 50% silk; 798 yd [730 m]/3½ oz [100 g]): #10 hyacinth, 1 ball. Yarn distributed by Knitting Fever.
Needles Size 3 (3.25 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Tapestry needle; spare yarn.
Gauge 25 sts and 36 rows = 4" in St st, blocked; 29 sts and 34 rows = 4" in Flutter Lace patt, after blocking.
