The inspiration for this boy's vest comes from men's waistcoats from the Regency era, which were often pinstriped or patterned. The lines of the classic garment have been scaled down for the smaller stature of a child. The classic stripes are interpreted here with a technique that's easier than carrying the yarn along the back of the piece.
