Honeycomb Pillows

by Sigrid Piroch

4-Shaft Project

"The draft for this very unusual turned honeycomb on a spot Bronson threading comes from Diane Green of Oxford, Ohio. In a turned draft, the threading becomes the treadling and the treadling becomes the threading. Although you could weave this cloth the other way around, turning the draft means that all the color and yarn changes happen in the warp, making the weaving fast and easy with one shuttle. This project will turn you into a happy color designer! Use almost any series of hues in the
outlined cells—they’ll be unified by the background warp and weft. Start with a simple sequence;
repeat or reverse it; use lots of colors or only one or two. Change weft colors on the loom
for an even greater variety of color effects."
