Handwoven, November/December 1985
Twill, as simple and serviceable as ordinary denim, as delicate and intricate as linen diaper or as outrageous as an undulating twill, is the most versatile of weaves. It is the foundation to scores of variations and derivatives, and the possibilities which exist with even the simplest of twills can be explored ad nauseum with never a duplication—or a tiring in the exploration.
This issue is twill inspired projects such as twills with a twist, yarn twist and twills and a Fraction of the Twill Story.
