A Lace Pillow a la Orenburg to Knit Knitting Pattern Download
For this project, there are two basic design elements in the border segments: Diagonals and Strawberries. Diagonals create a "bow-tie" motif, often used in Orenburg-style lace knitting. This pattern uses Shetland-style lace knitting for the center segment, but reversed the usual direction: that is, knitted from outside to inside. Orenburg Diagonals create the flower motif in the center.
