Mansfield Park Wrap: The Misses Bertram Knitting Pattern Download
“We have all a better guide in ourselves, if we would attend to it, than any other person can be.”
—Fanny Price, Mansfield Park
The dual nature of Mansfield Park and the lives of its inhabitants prompted me to design two wraps (the Misses Price and the Misses Bertram) using similar elements, yet with different characters. Increasing and decreasing needle and hook sizes shapes both wraps (this pattern is for the Misses Bertram Wrap only), knit sideways around the body. Similar construction and stitches can be combined for quite different fits and effect.
The version for the Misses Bertram is an elegant tubular round-the shoulder wrap, eased to a cabled center motif, and trimmed with a lacy leaf bottom edge and top crocheted bobbles.
