This project was prompted by a reference in Edith (Jackie) Ronne's autobiography about a pair of yellow socks she knitted in the Antarctic. As Jackie did not describe the design of those socks, Mimi Seyferth created her own design, which she based on a model of a dog sledge (sturdy sled) made by Jackie's husband, Finn Ronne. These cheerful socks will make anyone's winter day bright.
